He is promoting the lie, while condemning it at the same time. The Left all believe this sincerely. Like Bill said, when their side does it, they think it's all sweet nothings. But when the other side does it, it's an outrage. The important thing about this op-ed is that Charles Blow, of all people, is telling his fellow lefties, look guys, we blew this one.
