That's correct and I wish the company had said something before. COMS lost all credibility in this situation. Either there are big problems and they already know they won't make the quarter or there are minor problems but nevertheless think they make the quarter. They should know that by now and tell it the public and not just some analysts.
It's about time to say something be it good or bad but these rumors will certainly fuel all this short selling.

Mang,

I'm heartbroken too. I have such a high hope for COMS but have been deeply, deeply, disappointed.

Overall, I think the system business is good, NIC is doing OK, but client Modem stinks !!! I'm afraid Eric is fooled AGAIN.

I'm hoping that this is a wake up call for COMS to get its act together once and for all. COMS' roller coaster performance is absolutely unaccpeptable !

Another thing I'm hoping for is for 3Com to be acquired by Lucent or Nortel. Thart kind of marriage makes a lot of sense and is the best thing Lucent or Nortel can do to fend off frontal attack from Cisco.

I think COMS still looks good long term. I'm not willing to dump COMS at current distressed price. I would like to exchange COMS for LU for equivalent of $70 per COMS share.

Would you like to join me in this dream ?

Best wishes,

eagle
