Aren't you the one who told me the 'kids' are not so happy with Obama these days? Sure doesn't sound that way in Tucson:

Just saying!

<<Grow up, koan. Unlike you, I don't rubber stamp everything that comes out of the mouths of liberal icons. I have a mind......and I use it>>

Are you kidding? You defend everything Obama does.

No I don't.

Obama right or wrong is your mantra.

Of course that's not true but he's the best president in my lifetime. That means a lot to me.

Maher does not give liberalism an elitist spin. The anti intellectual right gives liberalism an elitist spin, just as you do, because they cannot defend their ideas and they know it.

Nonsense. I am liberal and intellectual but I don't need to present liberal concepts in a snarky manner.

Why the Tea party folks avoid the press.

Good ideas, are not liberal or conservative. They are just good ideas.

The right wing is either simplistic or wrong about almost everything. And they are defensive because they cannot defend or even articulate their positions becasue they are indefensible e.g. Palin, so they deride anyone who thinks.

I used to tell my kids: "you want to win an argument, first be on the right side".

Are maher's ideas right or wrong, that is the question you should be addessing, not whether Maher is elitist.

Who cares if a person is an elitist, if their ideas are correct and compassionate.

All I said to you is that Maher is not the best spokesperson for liberalism. I never said he was wrong with the notable exception when he went on his crusade against vaccinations.
