Good post, but this part is stupid:

<CNN writes, "These preferences may stem from a desire to show superiority or elitism, which also has to do with IQ. In fact, aligning oneself with "unconventional" philosophies such as liberalism or atheism may be ways to communicate to everyone that you're pretty smart.">>

That is such pure bullshit. I have run with liberals all my life. They "SEE" with a liberal perspective. The liberals saw democracy and the need for equality.

They "SEE" evolution working in nature, just as Darwin saw it in the finches of the Galapagos. They see that religions are by and large silly myths from centuries ago when mankind did not understand very much. They "see" the historical injustice of rich over poor and strong over weak.

Liberals "SEE" gays are born that way and have every right to civil justice. They "SEE" (to varying degrees) the existential world. They "SEE" the logic of gender equality. They "see" that we must listen to scientists regarding global warming and pollution of the earth.

Liberals are liberals because of what they "SEE", not because of elitism. That is jsut plain silly.

Somebody just pulled that out of their ass. Liberalism has nothing, nothing, nothing, to do with elitism.

CNN has decided to be the moderate station between FOX and MSNBC and all they ended up doing was becoming mediocre. Why there ratings keep falling.

If a person wants to become wise, I say study the smartest people. Pretty simple recipe for gaining wisdom
