Ted, I am convinced that conservatism is based on the mind while liberalism is based on the heart. Conservatives like to tell people the way things are. They know how the world works. They are the pragmatists. They are the thinkers. Liberals like to tell people the way things ought to be. They are the dreamers, the futurists, the activists. They are the idealists. They are the feelers. That's why it's much easier to be a liberal than a conservative. It takes effort to think with your brain, but feeling is as natural as breathing. Tenchusatsu
