I think just the parenting part of the equation alone would have messed up Bill Gates' life and we would never have heard of him. Gates did not have the constitution or physical attributes to physically remove the abusive father. He probably would have been picked on at school by all the more physically capable kids and developed some kind of psych problem, not like an elite private school where everyone is a nerd. I just don't see him getting out Montana given the circumstances...
