Thanks for responding. It is the government interference with free markets that is the problem, not free market capitalism. Every intervention by government leads to more intervention to fix the problems caused by the previous intervention.

Free market economies are self-regulating as long as contracts are enforced and private property rights are protected. The U.S. government has been marching away from free markets almost from its inception, beginning with the mercantilistic Alexander Hamilton, then Henry Clay and the Whigs, and followed by Lincoln, the country's first great fascist.
