SOE is suffering from a lack of liquidity right now as very few shares are changing hands. This is a good sign at this time of the year when tax-loss selling is heaviest as it means that most investors have confidence that SOE has bottomed out and that good news will quickly
move the stock higher----hence the lack of liquidity.I also talked to
Goldnev (GNZ) yesterday (also a Prime EQuity company) and they are going to diversify from metals (particularly gold) into oil and gas
exploration.GNZ is well funded and has joint-ventured with SOE in the past (eg Voisey,s bay) and i would not be surprised to see SOE make the same strategic move perhaps jointly with GNZ.The pending news release may give some clue as to where soe will be investing in 1998.

Hey Morrie, What is your view, on the low liquidity, and down moves? What are your expectations?
