I'll comment on that statement first.... You're suggesting that 10's of millions "need" to buy a gun on the spot and would be inconvenienced or placed in danger if they can't? That is utter nonsense.... And you argument that restrictions have resulted in people being undefended is laughable.... "but the amendment does give people the right to keep and bear arms." If you are member of a militia..... And it doesn't say you can get one instantly.... Gun nuts are just that....nuts. Why are you all so frightened of everything? How many boogie men do you see? "but would you impose a waiting period on someone who wanted to make a political statement?" Many cities and municipalities if not all have restrictions on demonstrations and parades and rallies.......ie get a permit.
