The interesting thing about this is that no president since lbj has been able to maintain his approval ratings while pursuing a liberal agenda. They all end up either moving to the right or going bellie up.

It would seem to make it impossible to have a successful liberal president who leads honestly; they have to abandon their liberal roots in order to stay in office.

Which leaves Obama in a hell of a jam when he has to veto Obamacare repeal.
