Very interesting. I would love to check out some options software. How can I demo the software you just mentioned. Who makes it?

I never hold options until expiration, unless they're very deep in the money. A strategy whick I think is a little more sound is to buy relatively deep out-of-the money options for a straddle position and ideally get in before a good bout of volitility...then get out if things look like they'll slow down. If one position is doubled, which is quite realistic, and the other one is cut in half then one could make 25% minus the broker's cut. Incidently, www.suretrade.com looks like a really good broker. They have an add on the front page of SI. I just joined in addition to my Schwab account. I'm still smarting over not being able to access my Schwab account a couple of Tuesdays ago and would like to have a backup.

Looking forward to your next post.
