I don't believe in the "end of the world" scenarios either. This could actually be a great opening for the US banks and investors in the ASEAN countries. I found it interesting because I used to deal with many of the financial institutions in that region. They went through the same problem in the 80's, and it was obvious they hadn't learned their lesson.

A lot of potential doubles for the next 12 months, even if we were to buy today. I've told myself to pick 5 to 10 of these, invest equal parts in each, and sell when each stock doubles (don't get greedy and look for more). I'm tempted to do it.
