Or, to put it another way, is this the jackpot moment for which we've all - some for years - been waiting? The excitement and anticipation of perhaps being on the brink of "payday", perhaps encouraged by a "leak" from the refiner is what may be the impetus behind the recent days' trading surge, small though it has been so far. Now, granted, in the longer-term perspective, sustained price appreciation is going to be driven by the "how-much-head-ore-into-how- much-goodies" calculations to which you allude. But for RIGHT NOW, RIGHT HERE... it's all about "payday!".
