>>At 30 a one point swing is~ñ3% and at 15 the same one point swing is~ñ6%. So I figure the percentage swings will probably be greater after the split.<<

But by splitting, there is also share dilution which tends to diminish any price swings either way. IOM's rather boring price fluctuations presently could get even more so after another split.

Really, this split is genuinely a bad decision at the present time.

To Brendon. I own a lot of Iomega but not a Zip.That s ok. This company will make me enough money to buy as manny as i want to.
To Tom Trawinski. Don't buy Worldcom. They print stocks as if they were monopoly-money.
To all. What' going on in your Us of A? Fed keeps everything the way it was. Still Dow goes down. That's gonna cost me a lot of money tomorrow here in Belgium. Thank God there is Iomega.

and a one point swing on your split shares would be equivalent to a two point move on the pre-split ones. it would be the same +-6%.

More shares outstanding equals more institutional interest and (hopefully) ownership--those big funds like a lot of liquidity,as we know.

Tom, BUT they won't swing as much.....

<one point swing is~ñ3% and at 15 the same one point swing is~ñ6%. So I figure the percentage swings will probably be greater after the split.>

Last year before the split, of course it was on the NASDAQ, they would move 3,4 or more points in a day...
