Do keep reminding yourself. The ways into new, and more comfortable, worlds are far greater here than most anywhere. But as to the white privelage invoked by such a statement as "all liberals send their children to college". Really? There are no poor whites who are socially liberal but unable to afford college for their children? Yeah, my family. We all went to college in spite of the fact we were poor. There are no blacks, who might even be socially conservative but vote D, who can't afford to send their children to college? There are many blacks who are socially conservative. I think most people in this country can go to college if they really want to. There is an inherent voice of privelage and exclusion in the statement, "liberals send their children to college". Seriously. wtf? For koan, liberals are supreme beings. ;-)
