People like Koan don't think of eating the cheapest food possible, day in and day out, of driving a 15 year old car, of keeping the heat at 62 all winter... in order to put together the funds to help with college. Did I ever mention the time I ate rice almost every day for 4 months in grad school because it was cheap and I thought it would keep my weight up? WRONG! If you eat rice for any length of time, you start to lose weight. BTW I didn't eat rice for two years after I left grad school. ;-)
