amat, intc, txn, csco name the great one's. all have one thing in common, they are still overvalued! will be owning them in the next few months. suspect that the present hysteria will allow us all to purchase a cut rate prices.

remember amat was 20-30 pre-split and presently market conditions for semi's not any better. throw in hysteria factor and we may revisit these levels. if so sell the house and buy.

****OFF TOPIC*** INTEL vs DEC APLHA ****
I am not sure whether INTEL has exclusive license to Dec Alpha or not.
I still think the DEC has the right use it for its own purpose.
Another thing, the Korean company might have obtained the license
and technology before Intel bought it. If so Intel may not have any control now.

Sun also has 64 bit processor and has a very experinced software
transition.

It will be interesting to see how Intel will respond this time as
competition is heating up from different fronts.

Whatever happens, if they keep buying equipments that's all matters
for AMATians IMHO.
