How long were you homeless?

About six months I think. North of San Francisco early 70's. A buddy and me. Had occasional "sleep overs" with some female friends, otherwise lived in Pt Reyes National Seashore camping out with the Morgan horses being raised for the park rangers. And sometimes on the Russian River. Pancake mix with water and nothing else sucks... But otherwise it was pretty cool!

How we got into that state of affairs is a really interesting story, but better left out of public posts.

I'm not saying I've really experienced abject poverty. We were white privileged kids and knew this was just transitory. I can't imagine what "real" homelessness feels like, with no fallback and little hope. But I do know about sleeping outside and eating essentially nothing.
