Do you think before you post? Just about the only thing I worry about is the poor. And I do not think their fare will get better until they learn to vote for liberals (whom southern poor seem to hate). Most liberals are for: universal health care. Free headstart programs. Free education up through PHD. Regulations on Wall street. Public financing of campaigns. Cutting the defense budet big time using the money to rebuild our infrastructure and educational system. Conservatives don't believe in any of those things. What do you believe in? <<Koan, for a liberal it is amazing you remain so blithely unaware of white privelage. How do we create opportunities. What is it that we had so many opportunities in the '60's. These days we are talking about creating opportunities for small businesses who will then hire the poor to improve their economic status. The question is what small businesses are there in the US now that most of the manufacturing have fled overseas, thanks to the lax rules of the previous Administration. All we have left here is health care and hospitality. Small scale (ancillary) and large scale manufacturing are now based overseas. Thanks to our education standard these days, even consulting jobs are based overseas and are thriving there.
