Its ironic......the Muslim empire flourished while Europe stumbled around in the Dark Ages. Even as late as the Ottoman Empire, Islam had the opportunity to rival Europe. However, instead of democracy and innovation, they turned to autocracy, the status quo and corruption. And even with the fall of the Ottoman Empire, nothing has changed....to this day. That's why I don't put much credence in the Tunisian revoluation.
