I just thought it odd to watch someone who likes to promote himself as the personification of capitalistic endeavors call for anti-capitalist protectionism.

Big business loves big government.

Eisenhower warned about the military industrial complex. That was too narrow. The danger to our freedom and prosperity is the government industrial complex.
