Fascinating, isn't it? Reading Tim Wu's "The Master Switch." Lays it out. They had TV and the fax in the 20's, but David Sarnoff of RCA colluded with the government and delayed it for 20 years plus, till he could control it. Same with ATT. Always and still an adjunct of the government. An even more important war is going on now with the internet. It's hard to pick sides. Google has allied with Verizon and they're all playing the FCC. However, they all have the same end, which is monopoly.
