LG Semicon develops 64MB Rambus DRAM

SEOUL, Nov 13 (Reuters) - South Korean chipmaker LG Semicon Co said on Thursday it had developed the world's first 64-megabit dynamic
random access memory (DRAM) chips adopting Rambus Inc's (Nasdaq:RMBS - news) technology.

An LG statement said the new chip, with a data transmission speed of 700 megabytes per second, was four times faster than the comparable
high-speed synchronous DRAM.

It said the Rambus DRAMs would be used as graphics memory units in computer workstations, servers, digital television sets and automated
teller machine switching systems from next year.

Furthermore, the chips are expected to be used as central processing units, or CPUs, of personal computers from 1999, the statement said.

The company, a unit of the LG Group (LUGG.CN), also said it plans to begin mass producing the chip from early next year.

<<What (fundemental & technical indicators) has changed during the last six months
that would prevent the price of RMBS fall to low 30s or high 20s? >>

Greg,

Its not a fools game....What fundamental/technical indicators caused this stock to hit $86?

The problem now is what is going to stop this brick from falling? Its not the market? maybe alittle influence. Its earnings!

All the good news in the world is not going to help until earnings improve. At $86 we were way ahead of ourselves and now we are still way ahead of ourselves.

It is my belief when this puppy hits bottom you will have atleast a week to jump in......
