Perhaps. Fascism is such a broadly use pejorative, I guess it could somewhat apply as a label. I'm still stuck on the fact that the "takeover" was temporary and more or less left management in place. When I think of something as Fascist, I think of a situation where a government or other entity is trying to impose it's will on another entity. That is the clear goal....a power grab....and it's not intended to be temporary. It's a permanent restructuring of the order of things.

I see GM, though, as a reactionary situation. The govt. reacted to prevent a cascading decline, possibly even collapse, throughout the GM supply chain.

It seems like the determination of intent is an important part of a definition.
