If it were, GM wouldn't have been sold back to the public like it was.

What happened to the original shareholders, were they made whole? How about the bondholders? Making such a statement obfuscates what really took place. Does the government own shares in the "new" GM? Was the taxpayer made whole?

The answer to my four questions, in order; NO, NO, YES, NO.

This was not an honest transaction.
