Well, by "shortness" I meant that while this bull market has been going on fifteen years, except for the few months in 1987 that turned out just to be a very large correction, the bear could take 2-3 years.

But there can also be very large drops, esepcially near the beginning. I was just bemoaning the delay in getting as much on the short side as possible while the market was still quite high,

Looks like today should be up an little and BORING, though. Though I can't seem to get the GLOBEX site and can't be sure.
