Re: "Great way to kill NPR and NEA though. We can cut the big boy's as well." Politics is unlikely to play-out that exact way. (I.e., only getting to cut spending on what YOUR OWN side doesn't like.) If we are to cut SERIOUS ENOUGH amounts to account to even a small hill of beans then both parties are gonna have to accept some cuts to some of their own 'sacred cows'. (For example: farm state senators might have to accept cuts to commodity crop farm subsidies and ethanol subsidies and tariffs, and gas and oil producing regions might well have to accept scaling back of their tax incentives, etc., etc., etc.)
