In these cases where it is positively known that the defendant did indeed commit the murder and is guilty as charged, he/she should be executed within days, not years or decades later.

The long, drawn out cases should occur when only circumstantial evidence exists along with reasonable doubt.

Otherwise, when there are multiple witnesses and the case is clear, put the bastard down, ASAP!
