I have little doubt PAW are sure of what they have I seem to be sure given how much I have bought :) I see the logic of keeping DD assays under wraps, just don't see the logic of drilling and then not submitting for assay until after the deal that's all.
They took the time to publicly state that visual observation confirmed the nature of the deposit based on historic info. So my best guess is that waiting for assays may have delayed their hoped for closing time and rather than risk the delay they pursued the closing of the deal.
