If my memory serves me right, KLIC falls from 50 to below 10 at 1995-96 fiasco. At that time, I think this company may belly up. I really surprise it recovers so rapidly in such a short time. I wish I knew and made a fotune. The problem of equipment makers is it always overshot to either to the upside or the downside. What is next move? Who knows? For the tech stock, Stock ups 100% or down more than 50% are very normal. I am always prepare 50% down from day one when I buy tech stocks. But if I am a shareholder, I will difinitely consider buying puts on the rally as a protection and sleep soundly at night. Many people underestamate the risk of tech stocks. Sometimes, it is lot more risky than gambling. This week, I check a magazine which lists a bunch of tech stocks in 1983. About 70% of them, you don't see them traded in exchange today. I guess some of them are going out of the business. In 2009, we may not see a lot of stocks traded today. May we start a bear market? When panic climax, no one wants any stock at any price. It can happen. Just my 2 cents. I have no position on this stock. Sold out at 34 last week.

Fred, thanks for the info. Kind of a whiteknuckle day.
Where did this last hour rally come from today?
