Given I am on battery number four with my MacBook Pro, I vote for "easily replaceable battery" over anything else, every time. Yeah, Apple paid for that. (g)

Also, cannot tell you what a joy it is to have an extra battery for my cheap ass Dell Mini 9 hackintosh, on the plane. I mean, the iPad people are envious. (g)

Third advantage to non-removable battery is shape. They can fill any existing voids with irregularly shaped battery and gain time.
