Hello Aaron...regarding another problem with straddles or strangles. I considered buying 140 calls and 130 puts when the stock was at 135 a couple of weeks ago immediately after some news. 10 of each would have cost approx 10K (5k ea). The problem is that I probably would have made a small profit, but never would have held on this long. If I had of course, I'd be looking at an an intrinsic value of 46 at this point. The point I guess, is that it's easy in hindsight with the stock at 84 to sit back and dream you held some 130 or 140 puts, but in reality, I doubt very few wouldn't have gotten out at 110.
