Try only trading a few hours a day, spend the rest of the day analyzing what you did until you rebuild your confidence.

What do you mean you were not being hit? No one would take your offer? You may want to balance your short and long positions as insurance against volatile moves up or down in the market.

M arc,

Misery loves company! Welcome to the club! I traded SOES for about 2 months and lost $13,000...including 3 $3000+ losing days. I have not traded for a few weeks and am not sure if I will go back to it. My experience was the same as yours...not being able to "SOES" out of a stock. The fast movers don't get filled when trying to "SOES" sell and the slow movers, well...they just don't move much and the spreads are larger. If anyone on here has a SYSTEM that they are willing to share, I would be interested. It seems that just trading by the seat of my pants and for 1/8 or even 1/4 is a fools game. This is coming from someone who WANTS it to work.
