> Only next time I will take some profits at the top, too. I've been thinking about this. The volatility of late appears to reward short term thinking. Many folks are looking at the gains they 'could have had'. If too many learn that lesson, we'll have a tough time sustaining any rally - folks will be trying to jump ship before the other guy. Being an optimistic sort, that kind of thinking, and that kind of market, is a little against my grain. I suppose I should follow your suit and try a bit of shorting (on paper for now). Such would be a start on playing in these markets. It's been quite a good year nonetheless. jg
