Sure they get some guns from the US, its pretty close after all and their are a lot of guns here, but they have many other sources. If we repealed the 2nd amendment and cracked down on gun possession, the Mexican cartels would still be able to arm themselves. All the extensive Mexican gun control does is keep ordinary Mexican citizens from being able to do the same.
