Though I suspect most folks are not good at chart/technical analysis, it is hardly a "stupid superstition". The late Zev Heed posted daily trades based on technical analysis here on SI for many years and made a consistent killing. Few (if any) folks had his understanding of the technicals or could duplicate his performance. He sometimes missed major market turns by a matter of minutes. You don't understand technical analysis? You think it's stupid? That says a lot about you. It says nothing about technical analysis.
