I love the Gun Show linkage as if they're the cause - the left can't operate without a boogeyman and they can't paint citizens as bad now can they. The issue you are trying to address is called private transfer - citizen to citizen sales of privately owned arms. Any gun sold by a dealer no mater venue must go via a NICS check. At the guns shows I attend it's members only and all gun sales are to members and they have all been screened for all sales. While I do not object to gun sales at events (gun shows) being required to do NICS checks - I would have an issue with private sales - unless any checks or paperwork was done for free.
