You're right on this one. While getting 60% might buoy the stock short term, the other sharks want their money and will convert. Whatever happens, a small tidal wave will hit CDRD on Monday as they begin to convert (I doubt they will try to move it all in one day). The collateral damage will be trashing the confidence of ordinary retail investors who will probably head for the exits at the same time.

Bear, I sympathize with your losses here. I came close to covering a few times but was too damn stubborn to lose money to these yo-yo's. The general market malaise will make CDRD even easier to crack when the pressure starts. I don't think Merrill Lynch will prop it up for a second with so much blood in the streets elsewhere.

While we are sharpening the knives, what esle do you guys like short? I have small positions in ZITL, RMDY, NSPK and ONSL but I'm looking for more.

Good luck.

Candlestick, I am an aggressive short-seller. I am looking to take an extremely aggressive position 50,000 shares plus, in 2-3 over-valued issues and have friends who run hedge funds who are looking for the same. I like CDRD short and I love AMZN short, I am going to take an aggressive stance in both of them. Send me an e-mail (edmehrfar@aol.com) with your telephone number or e-mail address. I would like to discuss shortselling strategies with you.
