I thought about that too. That would usually make the dollar and treasuries go up. Are investors buying something else besides dollars and U.S. Treasuries this time, and if so, what?

..maybe the whole world is going into some sort of major deflationary cycle ...

Foreign and world ETF's have been basically flat for 3 months (VWO EEB). (looking at the 6 month charts)

These are normally quite volatile, but lately they are doing nothing.

"The lull before the storm"?
