DT,

I also find it REAL difficult to place a lot of credence in analyst recommendations...a week or two ago, when TXN was around 110, three major brokerages upgraded it to "strong buy". The stock promptly zipped up to 122, now it's 93 and change. Go figure. The reality is that they're not much better at calling bottoms than anyone else! On the other hand, they can do a lot to stimulate some short-term demand for a stock among their followers.

I agree with you, it's going to take quite a while for things to sort themselves out down in Brazil.

Aaron

DT,

My impulsive buying paid off so far. I like this issue because US has good relations with Brazil. We need presence there. Chile, Argentina, are not really our friends.

I always remember Falkland Is and GB problem with them. I have friends who adopted children(s) from Chile, terible place, corrupt. They are sponsoring World Boy Scout Event in our summer of 99. Should draw thousands from around the world. So I would think there may be a possible play in there Tele, not because of BS's, but because they want there economy to appear healthy for event.

Regards
Ken
