What if the majority believe blacks aren't human, and shouldn't be allowed to vote, or marry, or own themselves? When the majority believed this it was the law of the land. Throughout history the powerful have enslaved the less powerful, regardless of skin color. But lets try to keep the discussion in present day reality. Most voters do not think a marriage contract between a man and a woman should be the same as a similar contract between two people of the same sex. Why should the minority, who think it is the same, get their way?
