Nah, I haven't waded through his dreck and rants in a long time. That post reminds me why, his depth of international experience is very visible.

If anyone REALLY wants to flush out inflation, maybe OPEC should jack up production by 2 mbd to flood the markets for the next 6 months. They were talking about all their spare capacity last week, maybe it's time to put those words into action. That swuld keep crude prices from getting out of control if inventories continued to climb like they did last year. The CFTC should continue raising margin requirements on commodities too. Gold prices haven't really moved higher since they raised margin requirements last fall. Same with silver. Tougher position limits will probably get rolled out this Spring.

Slower growth in emerging markets like China and India are definitely showing up in the index charts like IFN. Frankly, it's good to see people standing up to the inflation before it passes the point of no return.
