In the context of discussing the 2nd amendment the argument your trying to imply by your question is a straw man. Almost no one is arguing for elimination of all regulation of guns (or of cars for that matter) Also A car in its typical every day use, causes a lot more danger than a gun (a fact which is born out by the fact that cars cause more deaths than guns in the US, even if there are more guns than cars in the country, and also a fact that is pretty intuitively obvious, carrying for self defense usually doesn't result in death, target shooting doesn't either, hunting results in the deaths of a few people but not many).
