Yes, apparently .......

that huge vessel is what the Chinese were sailing in the 1400s, and the small vessel is what Columbus used roughly 80 years later. Quite amazing.

One of the things that many people overlook is that today's Muslim militants adher to the concept of "Dar Al-Islam" (house of Islam). Once a territory has fallen to Islamic forces, it is forever considered "Dar Al-Islam" even if it later falls into the hands of the "Kaf'fir" (unbelievers).

Thus, Sri Lanka will forever be considered as part of Dar Al-Islam in militant muslim eyes. The same can be said of Spain and part of France to extent of Poitiers, where they were defeated by Charles the Hammer.

And, of course, this also includes Palestine, despite the fact that Jews inhabited that territory long before Muhammad was a twinkle in his daddy's eye.

There can be NO PEACE in the eyes of Militant Islam so long as these territories remain in non-Muslim hands.

And this is not to mention the fact that militant Islam treats all lands not under Dar Al-Islam" as "Dar Al-Harb" (House of War).

This includes China and HK, TJ.. Hope Bejing's leaders recognize what side of this struggle they should be on.

What do you think of this mans views re the three building blocks of where China is coming from Historically and the West`s views based largely on ignorance and hubris?

ted.com

PS.Zheng He`s Massive flotillas actually sailed around the globe in 1421 and there trade missions were the major influence on the European Renaissance..not to mention providing the map that Columbus copied and used to market his Journey`s funding in 1492. Google 1421 or 1434 for two fascinating Web pages by the Author of two equally fascinating books by the same names..his research has been challenged by scholars and IMO is well backed up to prove them wrong!

With this knowledge it becomes obvious that China was and is now continuing its long historical path to leading the world through Soft Power, after the Mao debacle off the last century!
