i was listening to a podcast where a british guy said that americans only fear one thing... inconvenience. he also noted that in britain, the populace was so domesticated that the government didn't even bother to lie to them. he compared this to america where the politicians have to lie to them. he then commented that it was a darn shame it was so easy to lie to americans. eternal vigilance is the price of freedom, not calling everyone who has done their research "conspiracy theorists" so as not to have to be inconvenienced.
