That's not surprising when there appear to be not many species other than polar bears, seals and Eskimos in the Arctic [above water]. <the fossil record indicates that warming fosters bio diversity and cooling fosters extinctions. >

I know my prospects for extinction would increase dramatically if I was constantly surrounded by snow and an A380 wasn't leaving for the tropics.
