3,
1280 calls! I have no idea who. Why now?, I ask. At best Dell will race back to the 80's then get hit hard by coming problems with margin and growth overseas. Short-term I like CPQ much more, their hot low-cost consumer PCs may be a tremendous hit this Christmas. They're breathing down Dell's necks in the BTO direct sale arena, just proved themselves earnings-wise, and just picked up excellent reports and analyst recs on all aspects of their business and wednesday it was selling at relative bargain prices.

Nevermind the one call buyer, most big DELL holders (the long-time holders) are biting their nails, for with DELLs incomparable rise DELL took a prominent place in their portfolios and now they are faced with uncertainty and a tremendous downside risk. I bet they take advantage of a short pre-earnings run-up to get out. Will you?
