Please take no offense, as I know you're from there, but among the many serious travelers I've talked with over the years, none have had much good to say about their experiences in Russia. Maybe the rule of law will become more prevalent there. For the sake of its average citizens, I hope it does. For now, though, Russia is down the list. I've spent time in Africa. Wouldn't want to take my girlfriend there and try to make a life. The rule of law weighs heavily in a choice of domicile.
