I received some junk mail yesterday in the form of a magazine called Entreprenuial Edge which has a five page article about RAIN from the perspective of an entrepreneur starting up a company. It had a few interesting details, like Schussler desinging the prototype for the first RAIN in his house and Berman seeing it 27 times before investing in it. The have an on-line site, but it doesn't have the current issue yet, but will soon. edgeonline.com

Overall, the article is written fairly well, has two very nice pictures, has a quote from Disney's director of operations at Disney World:
"We challenge ourselves on a regular basis. We know what has made us successful, and shame on us if we don't reckognize the same potential in other companies. We strive to be on the cutting edge with grand scale additions that no one has done before. Rainforest Cafe does the same. Sometimes a great concept falls short because the business expertise isn't there, but Rainforest Cafe has bold ideas and business fortitude to complete the package. This is what we look for in third-party partners."

The only negative I found in the article was Schussler unwilling to say how much of the wishing pond's money actually goes to charities. There are some quotes from Schussler that are a bit on the cliche side like "We don't believe that it shouldn;t be fixed if it's not broken," but the article makes him sound like a shrewd and successful person.

The favorable press just keeps on happening for RAIN.

Options Update

The recent activity in QRI Nov 30 and Feb 30 Calls can be attributed to a Merrill Lynch customer who most likely had on the Nov 30 covered-write. The customer rolled in the Feb 30 covered-write at a cost of 1 1/8.
