Yes technicality it is Chongqing, an independent municipality of China.. Here in Canada municipalities often start as regional municipalities with a number of smaller towns villages etc. and can end up eventually as cities.. A lot of that happened here a decade or so ago.. for cost cutting and synergies.. cough cough...

considering the area though compared to Canada .. it's a different plane :O) A lot of smaller cities here are like that..

I took that cruise also back in 2007.. fantastic trip I thought.. :O)

If Dobbs (below posting) is right, China is going to fleece those countries that will be in dearth of capital.
